I have worked at RewardPay as a Brand Curator for the past 1.5 years, where I review, update, and verify online deals every day. I graduated with a BA in History. Shopping is one of my favourite hobbies. I visit Myntra for clothes, Amazon for beauty products, and Flipkart for online shopping. Watching web series on Netflix helps me relax after a busy day. I also manage deals for brands like Cadbury Gifts Direct, Calendar Club, Euroffice, Foligain, Haute Florist, and Hotels.com, helping shoppers find the best promotions and save money.

1. What do you enjoy most about working on the deals team?

Knowing that I am directly assisting people in saving money in a significant and reliable manner is what I love most about working on the deals team. It's satisfying to select, evaluate, and confirm deals that consumers trust, whether they're making larger purchases or everyday necessities. I take great satisfaction in making sure every coupon code is current and working so customers can be sure they're getting a good deal. It's not just about uploading code; it's also about figuring out what customers need and making their experience easier and more satisfying. I find genuine fulfillment in contributing to something that improves the financial situation of others in a world where people are becoming increasingly cost-conscious. Being the one responsible for that accuracy and convenience adds up, and every little savings counts.

2. How do you make sure a deal is genuine and useful?

I start by checking the offer on the merchant's website to ensure it's real and useful. I use the code myself, go through the checkout process, and confirm that the discount is applied exactly as stated. This step helps ensure that the code works under the specified conditions. To avoid sharing anything that could confuse or frustrate the user, I carefully look for important details like minimum spend requirements, category exclusions, and expiration dates. If the deal comes from a third-party source, I verify its authenticity and accuracy by comparing it to the retailer's official website. However, the deal also needs to be worthwhile in addition to being valid.

I always take a moment to search for a discount code before making any online purchases. What started as a simple test to see if I could save a bit has turned into a routine. Honestly, the savings add up faster than I expected. If you take the time to look, you can often find a deal, whether it's free shipping, 10% OFF clothing, or cashback on tech or travel. While shopping, I use browser extensions that search for active promo codes or automatically activate cashback offers, which saves me a lot of effort. I also check a few reliable coupon websites that I have bookmarked before making any purchases.
